Having had my family doctor here for 45 years, I'm disturbed at the lack of grace and civility offered by the current staff. Driving the winter roads from Barrie can be challenging and having a sick toddler in tow and taking time off of work to make the appointment only adds to the ordeal. When I'd arrived seven minutes late for my appointment I was told without compassion that I would not be seen that day and when I'd questioned this new stance I was rebuffed with dismissive snark. This is no longer the small-town facility I'd grown up with, and it shows. I've never been made to feel less human in a medical office.
Worst Dr ever!!! I went to see the dr about abdominal pain, bloating and lack of breath. Dr Irish said I was fat.. I was 5'10" 210lbs... And I needed to lose weight. That's all he said. I begged him to investigate further as constant pain is not a symptom of being fat. He refused to listen. Turns out I am celiac. Thanks for nothing.
It is the receptionist that prople see first, by a phone call then as registring for their appointment. This receptionist leaves people with a bad feeling regarding this office. Many people are seniors, hard of hearing, with confusion and health issues. She leaves people very upset. She is very brisk, blunt and alot of time very rude in the way she speaks to your patients. I have personaly seen this and have received this attitude myself. It is to the point that some people are looking to change their Doctor, which is bad for this practise. Senior whom live in tiwn and have a hard time getting around have to live with this as they can't and shouldn't expect to have to change Doctors at this time in their lives. I pray you take these reviews to heart and do something about this.

This is based solely on the receptionist that answered my call this afternoon. Absolutely ignorant,! I called too book a phone appt with Dr.Lane, who has been my Doctor now for 36 years. I love my family Dr, he's fantastic, nurses great! This person at desk however, I'm not certain as too when you started, but, you need to find yourself another position, where people skills are not required! Your mannierism is one of a self centered, disrespectful, arrogant , so called human! I started off as very polite, however, you were anything but... you questioned my appt times, schedule with my Dr from the past year, which has nothing to do with my call, nor is it your concern. I fully intend to go above your head in the workplace, and file a report. I hope you change your ways, many of his patients are elderly, and I can only hope, you do not treat them with such disgrace, as you have shown me today!
Dr Jessica Gencarelli and her team are a disgrace to humanity. The way they speak and treat humans is disgusting. I’ve made over 4 appointments with her and 3 of them were cancelled without warning because they assumed I didn’t need it and one of them was purposely made an in person because they knew I would be able to unattended. I called the office 3 minutes after my appointment because I was expecting a call and the receptionist said I was too late for my appointment and hung up in my ear. I called back three times say I needed this appointment as the last two were canceled without any notice and I still needed to speak to my doctor. She re book another appointment ( that she ended up canceling without my consent) Dr Gencarelli then continued to call me over 10 times while I was with clients of my own, not leaving a voicemail. Dr. Gencarelli and I had one appointment in person prior to all of this inhumane abuse. I asked her if there is anything I can applied for to help with my medication costs as they are 600 per month. After telling her I run my own business and support two children on my own, she looked me dead in the eyes and told me to apply to welfare. She abuses her power and in every way shouldn’t be a doctor. Her medical advice to me was to crystallize sugar instead of writing me a prescription. If you don’t obey Her, you are punished and your basic rights of a human are violated. If you’re looking for a doctor who cares about you, in any way, this woman isn’t it. It’s so sad to see that this is our future of medicine. She is unwilling to help you through any obstacles you face and could care less if you’re in pain or suffering.
I have been dealing with this medical building for years. And I have to say for most of the negative comments, for the time that we were living in we're all doing our best. Not every string is controlled by the foundation that you walk into. I think the world needs more empathy.
