Please do yourself favour and don’t go to this clinic. I went and it is my biggest regret and mistake. Once they see you have insurance they only care about money. Dr. Proctor I trusted since he has been in dentistry for 40 years. Don’t trust him. He is retiring and he has checked out. He damaged my mouth. He never discussed any treatment plan with me or cost. 3 months now I am suffering with severe pain, living on Advil 400mg every 4 hours. I went in for some intermittent pain on my left bottom molar number 36 and he drilled out three of my bottom molars and went very close to the nerve. I went back to see Dr. Proctor and I said I am having the worse pain ever since you drilled and removed my fillings on my molars. I told him my dentist in Aurora told me never to interfere with that molar number 36. He had the audacity to tell me maybe she was right. Before he worked on my mouth he never told me what he was going to do. That day he was like on a high drilling and naming fun about my fillings. He removed them and he damaged my mouth., When I spoke to his office manager Samantha about the issue and how Dr. Proctor just work on my mouth without explaining his treatment plan to me and the pro and cons of what the outcome could be. Samantha offered me $180 what a joke. I told them to keep it divert it to charity. I have spent to date $5000 on this dental issue. I have made a report about this terrible condition Dr. Proctor has left my mouth in. I had to go see an oral surgeon and after all the pain and suffering I am going through after Dr. Proctor drilled close the the nerves in my molars I ended up losing the teeth that he damaged. The office manager Sam said if I am reporting them to the Royal college of Dental Surgeons she said do not come back to Stayner Dental Dr. Proctor said they do not want you back. What a disgusting terrible person to damage my mouth, take my money and tell me not to come back because I questioned their process and protocol in treating their clients. The best thing is never tell them you have insurance. That is a green light for them to wreck your mouth, take your money and tell you not to come back. Maybe Dr. Proctor was a good dentist at one time but since he is retiring after 40 years he honestly does not care about new clients. Never met any dentist touch your mouth without written treatment plan and cost of treatment. This info should be given to all clients before any treatment starts. Dr. Proctor did not tell me what his treatment plan was for me and he did not ask me permission to remove all my fillings and drill holes in my molars close to my nerve. I have no words to describe how disgusting and horrible this experience has become. I am still in pain after my oral surgery. It is a nightmare what I am going through. Never let any dentist touch your mouth without a detailed treatment plan and cost handed to you. We are clients and we have the right to discuss and ask questions about our dental treatment plan. Stay away from this clinic! As I mentioned Dr. Proctor is retiring and he has checked out. He will never see you again he is on his way out. He does not care how much damage he does to your mouth. He’ll take your money damage your mouth and smile with you at the same time. Imagine offering me $180 for all the pain I am suffering that is unbelievable!!
The dental hygienist took great care and time to ensure I was comfortable and she properly scaled and cleaned my teeth. The dentist then reviewed and gave me a clean check up. All in all a great experience, professionally done!
I highly recommend Stayner Dental. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. And efficient, they run on time for appointments. Dr, Kaiwai is an excellent dentist.
As a new patient at Stayner Dental Centre I am impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. After my check-up, I needed a filling. Dr. Kaiway clearly explained each step of the process, ensured that I was comfortable throughout, and I experienced minimal discomfort. I highly recommend this dental team.
The Hygienist was very pleasant and careful with my teeth. I wasn't please to find I had a tooth decaying from the inside and that the tooth at the gum line, when she went to clean it, it crumbled away to expose a huge cavity inside. I don't understand why they couldn't see this before on the exrays. Anyway, I have to decided on a filling which orobably won't last or a Root canal. Just what a Senior wants to hear, a good chunk of money to fix it properly. Thank you for your service, I am not blaming my Hygienist. Updated Nove. 28/25 On oct. 28/25 I went in to see about a root canal, but I was questioning that it wasn't the way to go. I had requested Dr. Caiway (I beleive) as he did work on my last year. As soon as he arrived he had already reviewed the exrays and notes from the other dentist. So he told me I don't think a root canal is the way to go, as the tooth would fall apart while proceeding. I said yes, I agreed, so I said to do an extraction, which he did. A 2hr appointment ended up being a 1/2 hr. Yesterday Nov. 27th, I had a quick checkup on the tooth extraction spot to make sure it is filling in properly. All is good and we touched on another area, and he examined it. He put through a referral for a special type of radiology image on it. I do like Doctor Caiway. He is very pleasant and upfront with what shoul be done and patient.I have Nitrois for any work being done on my teeth. Thank you Carol Bonham
